IPMS Deutschland Show, 2007

The model show was again inside Hanger 3 and our display stand was in the same location as the previous year.

Although we put on a similar format display to the previous year, there were a number of different models present this time around, as we had some different SIG members with us.

There are 135 models on our display, 5 in 1/48th scale and all the rest in 1/72nd scale, built by 6 of our SIG members.

Back in 2006, being the IPMS Deutschland 40th Anniversary show, this event was well attended by German modellers as well as "travelling modellers" representing IPMS Czech Republic , IPMS Austria and of course, ourselves from IPMS(UK). This year though, there were not as many model clubs in attendance - however, due to the show coinciding with a major public event by the German Army at their barracks literally next door to the airfield, the number of public visitors was well up on 2006, as people came to both the barracks and the airfield/Museum.

Instead of the "hanger party" we enjoyed outside the Luftwaffen Museum on the Saturday evening in 2006, this year we all went over to the Army Barracks and joined the latter stages of their barbecue party !
